Whammy bar
If you have a song in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock where you have to hit long notes all the time, it's handy to strike the note with the whammy bar. This way, you'll earn more points.
Star points!
Another tip: if you nail the odd notes in a star shape, you'll earn star points! Then, if you straighten the guitar, all points turn blue and you'll earn double points.

Imagine you're playing Bohemian Rhapsody (a well-known song by Queen) on the bass guitar in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. There are a lot of long notes in there (boring!), so you might think you have to strum the notes continuously, but that's not the case!
You only need to strum the notes once, for example, just hit the yellow note and then the red one. That way you've already played them and can comfortably rack up double points with star power. Isn't that much nicer? Well, that's what I thought too!

I've been searching for cheats for a long time, and finally, I found one (not a lot, but still something). This cheat can be entered in the menu of Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock to easily unlock cheats. With these cheats, you already have all the characters unlocked, nice!
It goes like this: Blue, Green, Green, Red, Green, Red, Yellow, Blue.

How should you deal with notes that shouldn't be played?
Sometimes you'll come across notes with a white bar on them, you can hit those using just the color. (if you miss one, you'll have to hit another one and then continue with just the color)
This also works with the transparent notes. (for these, you only need to use the color, even if you make a mistake)
This is very useful for fast songs like Fury of the Storm by Dragonforce in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.

If a lot of notes come in succession, like for example blue-orange-blue-orange, you can easily play this by holding down blue and tapping orange when it appears. This way, you don't have to press blue repeatedly.
This also works with, for example, green-red-green-yellow-green-blue. Here, you can hold down green and simply press red, yellow, and blue while playing Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.
