Magical or dull?
Arctic Tale is a documentary film by National Geographic. In the game Arctic Tale for the Wii, you roam around the beautiful white polar landscape.
You are a newly born polar bear cub in search of food. You explore the landscape. Later on, you can also play as a walrus and Arctic fox to discover new areas.
The game is slow-paced, and the polar landscape has something magical about it, but I can also imagine it being considered monotonous.

Jerky controls and graphics - Not much to do - Quite disappointing
As beautiful as the polar landscape and the life of a polar bear may be, Arctic Tale is quite disappointing. There is hardly any storyline, which makes collecting coins, used to unlock things, the sole purpose of the game. These coins can be collected in mini-games, but these mini-games are not really special. For instance, there is a mini-game where you have to steal seals from polar bears, but this is very easy. In another mini-game, you have to slide off an iceberg, which is a bit more challenging, but that's mainly because the controls are extremely jerky. The graphics and music are also nothing remarkable, especially considering that your little polar bear can walk straight through rock walls.

Not enjoyable
I find Arctic Tale extremely bad. I was done with it after just 2 evenings of playing. There are only 2 worlds, with poorly controllable minigames. The visuals are constantly jerky, instead of nice effects. The description suggests you would follow the walrus and polar bear in their struggle to survive. Where this comes from... no idea, but in the game, I don't see anything of that at all.
